We built Golden Storm to fix that. By keeping shop drawings, fabrication, and erection under one roof at our Ozone Park facility, we eliminate the coordination gaps that cost time and money. Every project has a single point of contact from the first drawing to the final inspection.
We specialize in the mid-rise range — 4 to 20 floors — because that's where NYC builds the most and where the coordination challenges are greatest. Residential towers, mixed-use developments, commercial buildings: we've done them all, in every borough.
We begin by reviewing your structural engineer's drawings in detail. Our in-house engineering team prepares a complete shop drawing package — connection details, anchor bolt plans, erection sequences — and coordinates with the engineer of record before a single piece of steel is cut.
All structural steel is fabricated at our own facility at 104-11 101st Street, Ozone Park. We use CNC plasma cutting, press brake forming, and AWS-certified welding. Every component is tagged and traceable from mill certificate to finished piece.
Our certified ironworker crews mobilize with all required equipment. We coordinate crane picks, manage temporary bracing, install high-strength bolts, and perform field welding. We maintain a perfect lost-time safety record across every project.
Following steel erection, we supply and install composite metal deck floor systems including shear stud welding and coordination with the concrete subcontractor. Our deck installations are designed to optimize composite action between deck and frame.
We coordinate the full Special Inspection program — scheduling progress inspections, managing TR1 and TR8 forms, and resolving any DOB comments. We stay on the project through final sign-off and Certificate of Occupancy.
A 12-story mixed-use development in Flushing, Queens required a complete structural steel package on a compressed 18-month schedule. The developer needed shop drawings, fabrication, erection, and metal deck — all from a single contractor who could guarantee coordination between the trades.
Golden Storm delivered the complete package — 850 tons of structural steel, composite metal deck on all 12 floors, and full NYC DOB Special Inspection compliance — two weeks ahead of the original schedule. The project is now fully occupied with 180 residential units and 12,000 SF of ground-floor retail.
