Golden Storm Construction Corp was founded in 2009 by Marcus Rivera, a third-generation ironworker who spent two decades erecting steel across New York City. After years of watching mid-rise developers struggle to find a steel contractor who could handle the full scope — from shop drawings through erection — Marcus built the company he wished had existed.
We started with a crew of six and a single project in Greenpoint. Today, Golden Storm employs over 45 people across our Ozone Park office and fabrication shop, and we've completed more than 85 projects across all five boroughs, ranging from 4-story residential additions to 20-floor mixed-use towers.
What hasn't changed is our focus: mid-rise New York City construction, done right, on time, and with the kind of craftsmanship that makes structural engineers and general contractors call us back project after project.

Marcus Rivera
Former ironworker with 22 years of field experience. Marcus founded Golden Storm after recognizing that mid-rise NYC developers needed a steel contractor who understood both the engineering and the field realities of urban construction.
Diana Chen
Licensed PE with 18 years of structural steel design experience. Diana leads our in-house engineering team, overseeing all shop drawings, connection design, and DOB submission packages.
Tommy Kowalski
Certified ironworker foreman with 20 years of erection experience across NYC. Tommy manages all field crews and is responsible for our perfect safety record.
Sarah Okonkwo
PMP-certified project manager with a background in structural engineering. Sarah manages client relationships and coordinates between our engineering, fabrication, and field teams.
